Herbsleben-Dachwig wind farm: delivery of components for the wind turbines from next week
- Delivery of the wind turbine components planned from calendar week 35
- Commissioning expected at the end of 2024
Döllstädt/Dachwig, 22 August 2024 – The first components for the two Nordex N149 wind turbines for the Herbsleben-Dachwig wind farm will be delivered in the middle of next week. The components will be transported at night between 10pm and 6am using extra-long heavy goods vehicles. The delivery route runs close to the village via the B 176, a reloading area and later via a longer bypass of the municipality of Döllstädt parallel to the sports field area and then again via the L1027 to the wind farm access road north of the municipality of Döllstädt.
The turbine components are 83 m long rotor blades, steel tower sections up to 30 m long, nacelles weighing almost 70 tonnes as well as hubs and drive trains. The components will be transported via public roads as well as via approx. 30,000 m² of aluminium track panel roads, which were temporarily laid for this purpose across farmland north-east of the municipality of Döllstädt and in the wind farm area.
The 1270th anniversary celebrations of the municipality of Döllstädt from 15 to 18 August 2024 were taken into account when scheduling the delivery of the wind turbine components.
The Bladelifter transports, which will take place during the day from a reloading area parallel to the B176 via the temporary slab roads east of the municipality of Döllstädt onto the L1027 in the direction of the wind farm, will be particularly exciting. Interested parties are cordially invited to watch the spectacular transport operations with the Bladelifter. There may be temporary traffic restrictions on the planned section of the route.
The condition of the public roads as well as the field and cycle paths along the transport route was checked in advance by an independent expert.
From February to July 2024, the infrastructure construction division already completed the construction of roads and crane pads as well as the foundation and concrete tower construction for a 164 m high turbine tower.
At the end of September 2024, work is scheduled to begin on the further installation of the Nordex turbine components for the two wind turbines in the wind farm area so that the wind farm can be fully commissioned by the end of 2024, taking into account all weather-related influences.
The wind farm will be connected to the Walschleben substation via a 10-kilometre cable route.
‘The next few weeks will be exciting at night and during the day, but also worth seeing,’ said PNE project manager Dipl.-Ing. Jens Peters and his team.
The Herbsleben-Dachwig wind farm will have a total output of 11.4 MW. After commissioning, around 6,000 three-person households can be supplied with green electricity.
