By mutual agreement between the Supervisory Board and Jörg Klowat (CFO), the latter will not be reappointed as CFO for PNE AG. His contract is due to expire on March 31, 2024. Succession planning for the Board of Management position of CFO has already been initiated.
"We are delighted with the reappointment of Markus Lesser. We are ensuring continuity in the work of the Board of Management in this way. In the opinion of the Supervisory Board, both Markus Lesser and Jörg Klowat have demonstrated their commitment to promote the further development of the Company during their previous activities on PNE AG's Board of Management. The strategic realignment to become a clean energy solutions provider was very successful with the targeted achievement of Scale up 1.0 in 2023 and can thus continue with the Scale up 2.0 strategy. The term of the contract is based on the planned deadline for implementing the Scale up 2.0," explains the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Per Hornung Pedersen.
Markus Lesser was appointed to the Board of Management on May 1, 2011 after many years of activity in the renewable energy sector. He was initially responsible for the operational business and project development. Markus Lesser has been CEO of PNE AG since May 26, 2016 and will be reappointed as CEO for the period from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027 and will continue to hold the position of CEO.
Jörg Klowat has been working for the Company since 1999. Mr. Klowat has held the post of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of PNE AG since 1 April 2011. At his own request, he will pursue a different professional future in the short term. By joint agreement with the Supervisory Board, he was therefore not reappointed as CFO for the long term. Mr. Klowat will be available to PNE AG for a few more months after the end of his contract on the Board of Management and will complete ongoing projects entrusted to him. "We would like to thank Mr. Klowat for his many years as CFO of PNE AG and are pleased that he will be available to the company for a transitional period and wish him all the best for his future career," announced Per Hornung Pedersen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
