Turning old into new: PNE and e.disnatur plan to repower the Seelow wind farm
- Initial planning underway
- More capacity with fewer wind turbines
Cuxhaven, 1 October 2025 – The Seelow wind farm, also known as the Seelow-Gusow wind farm or Vierlinden wind farm, is located northwest of the town of Seelow in the Märkisch-Oderland district. Commissioned over 20 years ago, the nine turbines have now reached the end of their operational life.
PNE AG and e.disnatur Erneuerbare Energien GmbH are therefore planning to repower the wind farm, replacing the old wind turbines with up to six modern and more powerful turbines. This will result in a significant increase in capacity. The new wind farm could have more than twice the output of the old one, with a correspondingly higher production of clean energy.
The repowering will therefore serve to significantly increase efficiency and electricity generation, while at the same time reducing the number of turbines.
Contracts with the landowners for the planned sites have been concluded, so that concrete planning and further coordination with the various local stakeholders can now continue.
