PNE celebrates inauguration of Herbsleben-Dachwig wind farm – hands-on technology and thanks for regional support

• Two Nordex turbines with a total rated output of 11.4 MW
• Wind farm can supply around 6,000 three-person households with clean electricity every year

Dachwig/Döllstädt, September 29, 2025 – Together with partners and numerous guests from the region, PNE AG celebrated the inauguration of the new wind farm in Döllstädt and Dachwig, the Herbsleben-Dachwig wind farm, at Mühlenhof Bosse in Dachwig last Friday (September 26), thus taking an important step toward the local energy transition.

The wind farm is located in the district of Gotha. It consists of two Nordex N149 turbines with a total nominal output of 11.4 MW. Together, they generate enough clean electricity to supply around 6,000 three-person households annually. The wind farm was built on agricultural land north of the municipalities of Dachwig and Döllstädt.

A look behind the scenes

The event was aimed at all interested parties from the region – in particular residents, landowners, project participants, and representatives of the local authorities. In addition to a varied culinary offering, PNE presented the various phases of project development and the construction of the wind farm.

Afterwards, guests had the rare opportunity to view the inside of a wind turbine. The tour was conducted by employees of energy consult GmbH. The PNE Group's service company is responsible for the commercial and technical management of the PNE Group's own wind farms as well as for external customers.

"The inauguration was a wonderful opportunity for us to say thank you – for the trust, support, and good cooperation in the region," said Jens Peters, project manager during the construction phase. Benjamin Nowak, project manager during the development phase, added: "We are delighted that so many people from the region came. They were able to see wind energy for themselves and celebrate this successful project at the same time."

PNE in Thuringia: Completed projects and prospects
