PNE receives approvals for three further onshore wind farms
- Permits allow for the addition of another 59.6 megawatts
- Permits for 127 MW already received this year
- Expansion of the own generation portfolio continues to gain momentum
Cuxhaven, July 10, 2023 - PNE AG is making further progress with the expansion of its own generation portfolio. The provider of clean energy solutions has now received approvals in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act for three further wind farms with a total capacity of 59.6 megawatts. With these new plants, PNE has already received approvals for wind with a combined output of 127 MW this year.
A wind farm with a nominal output of 33 megawatts is to be built in Sundern-Allendorf in North Rhine-Westphalia. Five wind turbines are planned here. The PNE Group was also successful in northern Germany. In Schleswig-Holstein, approval was granted for the Gnutz II wind farm with a capacity of 22.4 MW. Four wind turbines are to rotate here in the future. In addition, a further permit was granted in Hesse. A wind turbine with an output of 4.2 MW is being built at Großer Mittelberg.
"We are very pleased that we have already received numerous permits with a total of 127 MW for new wind farms this year. The three new wind farms can supply around 36,000 households with clean energy," says Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE. "We are thus coming closer to our strategic goal of expanding the own generation portfolio. By 2027, wind farms and photovoltaic plants of 1,500 MW/MWp are to be in the PNE Group's own operation."
The PNE Group's own generation portfolio currently comprises wind farms with an output of around 350 MW.
