PNE: Start of heavy-duty transport for the Sundern-Allendorf wind farm postponed
Sundern/Allendorf, 20 August 2025 – The night-time heavy goods transport operations for the delivery of wind turbine components for the Sundern-Allendorf wind farm will not begin on 21 August as originally announced, but during the night of 25 to 26 August 2025 – the planned time frame is 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The reason for the postponement is necessary tree pruning work along the transport route, which will be carried out between 20 and 22 August. Due to the rainfall in recent weeks, the trees have grown significantly, restricting the clearance required for transport. The work will ensure that the large components can be transported without damage.
Background information
- The transports will take place via the A 46 motorway, Hüsten exit, continuing via the B 229 through Hachen, Sundern and Amecke to the wind farm – a total of approximately 26 km.
- From calendar week 36 of 2025, rotor blade transports with the so-called blade lifter are also expected. These will also take place at night, following a separate announcement, so as not to impede the flow of traffic.
