Integrated energy solutions for industry

Industrial Energy Solutions

We develop integrated energy concepts tailored to the individual requirements of industrial companies. By intelligently combining renewable power generation, battery energy storage systems and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), we provide long-term planning certainty, reduce energy costs and create the foundation for a sustainable and future-ready energy supply.

Industrial customers benefit from the extensive experience of the PNE Group across the entire renewable energy value chain. We take a look at the energy system as a whole and ensure that energy is available reliably and exactly when it is needed.

Combining energy building blocks for maximum impact

The path to a future-proof energy supply

Every industrial company has different requirements for its energy supply. That is why we develop holistic energy concepts that combine rapidly deployable solutions with strategic expansion steps.

Rather than viewing individual technologies in isolation, we develop energy systems in which renewable power generation, energy storage solutions and innovative procurement models work together seamlessly.

The greatest potential is unlocked through the intelligent combination of different energy building blocks.

The building blocks of a future-proof energy supply

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and the electrification of energy-intensive processes can reduce CO₂ emissions in the short term. Companies benefit from renewable energies without having to invest directly in their own generation assets.

A rapid transition to a more sustainable energy supply creates economic advantages and lays the foundation for further development.

Find out more about PPAs.

PV power plants and battery energy storage systems increase the share of self-generated energy, reduce electricity drawn from the grid and strengthen resilience against fluctuating energy prices.

Thanks to comparatively short implementation periods, these technologies can deliver tangible benefits for both economic performance and security of supply in the medium term.

Wind energy projects enable a long-term, cost-efficient and climate-friendly energy supply. They reduce dependence on fossil fuels and volatile energy markets.

Developing such projects takes time. At the same time, they offer the greatest potential to reduce energy costs permanently and secure energy supply on a sustainable basis.

From analysis to operation from a single source

Our Services

As a one-stop shop, we support industrial companies throughout the entire lifecycle of their energy supply. We analyse existing energy supply structures, develop bespoke energy concepts, manage the project development and implementation of the necessary systems, and ensure the long-term success of the solution through professional operational management.

Five steps to a sustainable energy supply:

Identifying Potential

Energy Check

We analyse your existing energy supply structure and identify opportunities for integrating renewable energy sources and storage solutions.

To this end, we consider, amongst other things:

  • Load profiles and consumption patterns
  • Self-generated and externally sourced electricity
  • Tariff and procurement models
  • Potential for photovoltaics, wind energy and battery storage
  • Opportunities for integrating power purchase agreements (PPAs)

Developing the Right Solution

Concept Development

Based on the analysis, we develop a bespoke energy concept for your site.

This includes:

  • Assessment of land availability
  • System layouts for photovoltaics, wind energy and battery storage
  • Yield forecasts
  • Grid connection and electrification concepts
  • Economic feasibility analyses
  • Consideration of heating and process requirements in collaboration with specialist partners

From analysis to a tailored energy solution

Energy check: Load profile analysis

As part of our energy check, we analyse your existing electricity supply structure, including load profiles, self-generation, external procurement and existing tariff models.

The analysis below illustrates how a company’s load profile can be met economically and sustainably through the intelligent combination of wind energy and photovoltaics.

Using specialised simulation software, we compare a wide range of potential energy systems and identify the optimal combination of renewable energy sources, battery storage and power purchase agreements (PPAs) to meet your energy needs.

The analysis highlights how energy generation, consumption and storage can be best coordinated. In this way, we provide a sound basis for decision-making when developing a bespoke energy concept.

This optimisation can be tailored to different objectives:

  • Environmental: Reduction of CO₂ emissions
  • Economic: Reduction of energy costs
  • Primary energy: Electrification of processes and reduction in the use of fossil fuels

Complementary solutions for industrial applications

Green hydrogen

Not every industrial process can be fully electrified. In various industrial sectors, as well as in parts of the transport sector or heat supply, its use not only makes sense, there is often no real alternative. In the steel industry, for example, hydrogen can replace coke as a reducing agent. In the chemical industry, green hydrogen can replace fossil-fuelled processes or even, together with CO₂, replace petroleum as a raw material for many products. We help to identify the potential for using green hydrogen and to integrate it into holistic energy concepts. By combining renewable electricity generation, storage solutions and hydrogen applications, it is possible to develop bespoke and sustainable supply concepts.
